1. Find a book on your shelves with a blue cover. What made you pick up the  book in the first place?

I originally picked this book because I had seen so many positive reviews about it and I knew it had been good enough to be made in to a movie!

2. Think of a book you didn’t expect to enjoy but did. Why did you read it in the first place?

I had originally picked this out of a not so great line up on Blogging For Books and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would!

3. Stand in front of your bookshelf with your eyes closed and pick up a book at random. How did you discover this book?

I discovered this one from a post on Kerri Maniscalco’s (author of Stalking Jack The Ripper) Instagram! I am beyond excited to dive in to this ARC soon!

4. Pick a book that someone personally recommended to you. What did you think of it?

I had been seeing this on many blogs and TBR lists, so I knew I had to read it! It certainly did live up to its hype. Find my review here.

The promise of a steampunk Cinderella retelling is what drew me to this beautiful book!

7. What book did you discover through a film/TV adaptation?

402045

I remember seeing the television movie on TNT years ago and I fell in love with the story and the world!

8. Think of your all-time favorite books. When did you read these and why did you pick them up in the first place?

I read this one in High School as a required reading book, and I loved it more than I thought i would.

22299763

The Literary Piratesses (my IG book group) decided to read the Six of Crows duology together, and this one stuck with me more than any other book this year.

I had chosen this from Blogging For Books not knowing that I would love it so much!

Besides the steampunk aspects, this retelling trumped the original and taught young girls that they don’t have to rely on live to be happy!
