Good morning, and happy Monday lovelies!
It’s Monday Tag Day! Today I am doing a tag that I found on Books to Graphics‘ awesome blog!
This tag was created by the awesome Arkon and Annie, and is based off the parallel Londons found in The Shades of Magic Trilogy by V.E. Schwab. So, here we go!
This would have to be Eleanor by Jason Gurley. The book itself is well written and beautiful, but it is also incredibly sad and depressing, and no matter how much I want to move on, I can’t stop thinking about it!
The Girl From The Well is a series I will not be finishing. Book one was just not enjoyable and did not live up to its potential.
The Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts fits this. I am not in to romance, and the sex scenes in this trilogy seemed out of place and too graphic. The only saving grace for me was the story of the magic and witches.
The Shades of Magic trilogy is a series I feel blessed to have read. It got some mixed reviews, but I loved it and loved the characters! I would love to see more!
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a favorite book of mine that offers new tid bits each time I read it! It’s a short read that takes me back to being a kid!
A fictional world that makes me feel love and fear is Ketterdam from the Six of Crows duology. Kaz’s team of misfits is a true family and would do anything to protect each other, but they live in a terrifying world of crime and debauchery!
Six of Crows had a confusing start for me since I read it before starting the Grisha trilogy. But both the book and the duology itself ended up being amazing in my opinion!
A book or series that I would kill for would be the Six of Crows duology. See a pattern yet? This is my FAVORITE duology now and Crooked Kingdom is my favorite book at the moment! I loved everything about it and would kill to have more! And let me just say, Kaz <3.
I can only save one book? NO! I guess it would have to be Crooked Kingdom. That is, until something better comes along…
A series that has utterly consumed me would be The Dark Days Club series. It’s not my official favorite yet, since it’s not finished, but it’s my unofficial favorite because the world building is spectacular! The characters are super awesome, and my book group and I have not stopped talking about it since reading the first two books over 4 months ago.
I absolutely refuse to open Fifty Shades of Grey and Game of Thrones. I’m sorry, but I abhor graphic sex in books, TV, and movies. I don’t care how great the story line is, if it has to include unnecessary graphic sex, it isn’t for me.
I have a few authors who control my purse strings. Those are: Kerri Maniscalco, Alison Goodman, Leigh Bardugo, K.M. Shea, and J.D. Netto. They are all worth it too!
What character/s from the Shades of Magic trilogy would you like to see have a spinoff?
I would love to see a Rhy and Alucard spinoff. I want to see them get their happily ever after and see Rhy live up to his true king potential!
If you could rule one of the four Londons, which one would you rule?
I would rule Black London because I could change it for the better and utilize the untapped magic. I could control that black magic beast!
I’ll only tag a few people, so if you would like to do the tag, go for it!
