Saturday Chaturday: Life and Blog Updates, ARCAugust, and The Reading Quest Updates

Hello and happy Saturday everyone!

I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend so far! I decided to have two Saturday Chaturdays this month so I could blog about some updates.

Life and Blog Updates:

First thing I would like to let you all know is that I have decided to become a Nu Skin distributor. This means that I am able to sell some amazing beauty and health products to help you all feel as beautiful as I know you are! I will be adding a separate piece to my blog where I will be posting product reviews and information.

If you would like more information about the amazing products I will be selling, leave me a comment below and I will send you the link. Currently, we offer several facial lines to cater to your every day skin needs, an astounding whitening toothpaste that delivers glowing results, elegant cosmetics, glorious hair care products, and a variety of daily health and weight management products. Anyone who places an order before the 25 will be entered in a drawing for a giveaway in September!

#ARCAugust Update:

When I decided to participate in ARCAugust, I had decided to add 5 books to my list:

I am excited to say that I have read 4/5 of these amazing ARC’s! 3/4 of the reviews are scheduled to post next week, and the review for Gunslinger Girl is scheduled for the 31 (an exciting author Q & A is set to follow in October!). I plan on reading sparked very soon, and may even add a few more ARC’s to the TBR since I have recently been approved for One Dark Throne and The Girl in the Tower!

The Reading Quest Update:

As most of you know, I decided to sign up for this the night before the deadline. I am excited to participate and have a little fun as the Knight character.

KnightReadingQuest

Here is my original post to see my TBR and the fun game board.

So far, since the sign up, I have completed these books from the challenge TBR:

That leave me with 3 game pieces left on my Knight’s path, and the 4 bonus pieces.

Now, to get in to the EXP. and health Points:

All characters started off with 10 EXP. Each book completed adds an additional 10 EXP. which puts me at 30 EXP for now.

All characters began with 10 HP. Every 10 pages read gives you +1 HP. Between these 2 books, I have read 516 Pages (356 for the Gunslinger Girl ARC and 160 for the No Ordinary Star e-ARC). This means that I have 51 HP. Not a bad start in my opinion!

Wish me luck on conquering my path!

So, what do you all think about adding a separate beauty piece to my blog?

Has anyone noticed the WordPress spam folder issues? If not, make sure to check the comments tab on the left side and open your spam folder. You may need to rescue some non-spam comments 😦 .

I hope some of you will consider taking a look at the products I will be selling! I would love to see a lot of entered in my giveaway drawing! I will also be hosting a blog/Instagram giveaway soon since I have hit over 500 blog followers!! ❀

Thanks for reading my updates loves! Leave me a comment if you are interested in checking out my website! Let me know your #ARCAugust and #TheReadingQuest progess!

Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. i’m personally not interested in beauty products, because my skin hates everything, like really everything… :/ i can’t use anything, or i get red and all that stuff.
but i think it’s a great idea and i am sure there are a lot of readers out there who are interested! so of course, go for it! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks girl! Everyone has their thing! I definitely am not going to be pushy with this because I want those who are interested to feel comfortable. I honestly use to be the same way. I never even wore foundation in school because I sweat so much it would all wear off. Then I was introduced to matte finish and setting powder lol.

I hope I can add a bit of intrigue and sunshine to my blog with this piece. Thank you for your input! I really enjoy being blog friends!

  2. Hey congrats Adrianne! I guess the shipping costs would be killer for me but I hope you’ll have success in this new adventure! Of course I’ll go check these products πŸ˜‰

  3. Thanks girl! I can email you the link. Would you like me to use the email from where you sent me the e-book? I can definitely check on shipping for you if you find anything you are interested in. I can always add your order in to an order shipping to me and ship it to you myself through the post office. I know how to ship things cheaper with them than most websites charge lol.

Glad to see you’re doing so well with the Reading Quest so far! Best of luck ❀ ❀
Also, congratulations on 500 followers! That's amazing!! Many more to come, I'm sure πŸ™‚
I'm not that familiar with beauty stuff but I do know many book blogs who also dabble on other stuff and they turn out really cool, so I think you should do it!
    Wonderful post πŸ™‚

    1. No Ordinary Star is beautiful and emotional and highly immersive! And Gunslinger Girl is my new favorite!! It has everything!

I think the reading quest will turn out to be loads of fun when we get closer to the finish πŸ™‚

And thank you! I can’t believe I have hit that many already!

I have a couple people I follow who do both beauty and book reviews, so I am hopeful it will work out πŸ™‚ Thanks for your support! ❀

      1. Oohh so glad to hear it! I added it to my TBR a while ago and it sounded so good I got the ebook right away. I was hoping I hadn’t made a mistake hahaha
No problem at all! ❀️ Yeah it seems to be a nice combination. Many bloggers go with the “lifestyle” kind of tag so they can pretty much blog about anything πŸ™‚

  5. Good for you for zipping through your ARCAugust selections and finding some good reads. πŸ™‚ I’m having spam problems too lately. I usually give it a week and things seem to return to normal. Thanks for the reminder to check out the folder.

  6. TBH I only really look at blog posts about books or maybe film/TV that interest me. I don’t have much interest in all the beauty, fashion type stuff I’m afraid! But you should do whatever interests you on your blog, regardless of what anyone else thinks!

      1. Oh that is the BEST! When you loved a book so much that the review basically writes itself cuz you’re having so much fun gushing about it haha! That’s how I felt about The Last Magician πŸ˜† & I love reading product reviews so I’ll def be checking that out πŸ’œ
