I haven’t really been scared while reading a book either, but Bird Box by Josh Malerman came the closest – very highly recommended if you haven’t already read it!!!

Ooo some awesome choices! I agree with your choice for Grim Reaper…Nehemia’s death traumatized me 😦 I read that scene while on a train and I was borderline crying 😦

I know!! And I had hoped she would be brought back to life or that her death was faked or something too. All we got was a teeny tiny scene of her in the portal 😦

I like the horror side of Halloween but random kids knocking on my door all night to demand sweets is not my idea of a fun night! So glad I live in the UK and we don’t get much of that!

We are hoping to get trick or treaters this year. When we lived in the mountains of North Carolina we had no neighbors, so it would have been scary to have trick or treaters on a private, gravel road, lol. I have heard that they only knock on doors until it gets dark and then they stop. So if we get any we should only have to worry about them until about 6 p.m.

Didn’t get to read as many spooky books this past month as I was hoping to do, but it’s never too late for them… Going to try and catch up with a few, maybe the spookiest one will be in that mix… or maybe I’ll be to chicken to read it lol.

I didn’t get to read any spooky books either. I had too many review requests to catch up on because I was in a slump for 2 weeks and didn’t’ read.

Know how you feel… I wasn’t able to keep up with much either once I started up work, I’m just catching up with reads this week. Reading slumps are the worst!
