The Review:
Etiquette and Espionage is prim and proper fun! This one is full of danger, mystery, and cheeky laughs! For lovers of Jackaby and My Lady Jane, E & E will fit right in and will have you coming back for more!
The Plot: Sophronia Temminick has an atrocious curtsy, and is an embarrassment to her family with her lack of lady like manners. It is these faults that prompt her mother to enroll her in finishing school. But, 14 year old Sophronia soon realizes that this is no ordinary school. Along with learning the arts of etiquette, dress, and dance, the girls also learn the polite ways of dealing out death, diversion, and espionage.
So, you have to be laughing at this point, just from the synopsis! This book is so incredibly fun! Sophronia, and all the girls, at Mademoiselle Garaldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality learn how to properly spy and assassinate without misplacing a hair on their heads. There is a polite and proper way to deal in espionage as a lady!
Anyway, Etiquette and Espionage takes steampunk and historical fiction to such a new level! I love how unique and comical this book is! It is like Jackaby and Stalking Jack The Ripper combined! The writing is elegant and entertaining, and the plot is so well written. I love how this one combines the best parts of steampunk with comedy and historical fiction aspects of proper ladies in the Victorian Era. There are even supernatural aspects to the story! This one is just so much fun to read, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Hehe! You are so awesome! You will have to keep a list of books you add because of my reviews and keep me updated! That would be so cool! In the near future I am going to add a post once a month where I check out the book and wine pairings from YA and Wine and give my thoughts.
