Influenster: L’Oreal Elvive Damage Erasing Balm

Hello Beauties!

Happy New Year to you! I hope you are doing well, and are well on your way to hitting those New Year Resolutions!

Today I wanted to talk about hair, and my review of the L’Oreal Elvive Damge Erasing Balm that I received complimentary in exchange for my honest review from Influenster and L’Oreal.

You all know how I love my colored hair! I’ve had solid colors, rainbow roots, and now I’m a mermaid!

Most of my hair is fairly healthy, since we only bleach the roots each time my color is reapplied. But, we’ve stripped the color a few times to do different colors on the ends. So, the ends of my hair are a bit damaged. I have never lost hair due to bleach, or stripping damage, and I do not have breakage. But, my hair can be dry and frizzy toward the ends.

Coloring my hair makes me feel unique. I love the pretty colors we try, and I just feel pretty! I think hair is a big part of beauty. We feel confident with freshly colored, or cut, hair. Sometimes we damage our hair though. So, I was excited to receive the erasing balm for free from Influenster and L’Oreal to give my honest opinion as to whether or not it made a difference.

The Review:

The balm was easy to use in the shower. It smelled fantastic. It did not seem to fade my hair much at all (as it did not mention being color safe).

As far as appearances go, the pictures don’t really show the difference that I see and feel. I do feel like my hair is softer. It has more body, and doesn’t feel as dry as it did before I washed it.

I do feel like it would take continuous use to see dramatic results, but for a one time use, it seemed to make a little positive difference beyond routine conditioner. I would say for a few uses here and there, it is okay for colored hair, but I may not recommend it daily. I do feel like if I used it daily, my hair would look and feel even better (minus the color fading I would expect).

I did manage to get one picture that portrays what I feel in my hair after use. Normally my hair dries frizzy and dry looking, and when I take a picture, you can see it. While snapping pictures of my makeup, I noticed how shiny and smooth my hair looked. I do not use any hair products, and this picture was unaltered:

So, after one use, I would rate the product 4 out of 5 stars. It does feel like it would give great results with continued use, so if I didn’t have fashion colors in my hair, I could see my rating going up to 4.5 or 5 on daily use. I feel like it would give even better results when used with the shampoo it instructs you to use, but again, I would not be able to use the shampoo on my color.
