The Book Robin Hoods: A Beautiful Community

Happy Saturday lovelies!

I wanted to talk a little more today about #TheBookRobinHoods, created by author M.C. Frank. If you have been paying attention to my posts, a lot of you know how proud I am to be a part of this beautiful community of readers and authors. I encourage you to take a look at the website, learn a little from my post today, and consider joining us.

The Book Robin Hoods is a place where serious book bloggers can connect with New, Indie, Self Published, and Lesser Known Authors. This is your chance to help an author out by reading their book and writing an honest review to share on your blog, and any other place the author is needing reviews posted.

We call ourselves The Book Thieves (though this in no way means that it is okay to take off with an authors book). We are looking for reviewers with experience giving honest reviews and running a blog, so, if you are just starting out, The Book Thieves may not be a place for you yet, but we would certainly welcome you with open arms once you have gotten some reviews and posts under your belt.

As a Book Thief, you will have access to authors of a wide range of genres, such as fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary, etc.. Though, keep in mind, there are certain genres that will be left out. Those include: erotica/ nonfiction/ graphic horror. With the ability to connect with these amazing authors, we have the opportunity to send book requests for those books they are needing more reviews for. We try to maintain an acceptable time frame of book and review completion of 1-2 months, so communication is important, but it is also a big part of why we have so much fun connecting with each other.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, you can sign up here.  I have been a proud member since the beginning, and I have already had the opportunity to read some amazing books. Here is what I have read so far:

Hello authors! You all work so incredibly hard, and put your hearts and souls in to your work. Wouldn’t you love to join a community, free of charge, where your work is appreciated? If so, The Book Robin Hoods is the place for you!

The Book Robin Hoods has a special place for authors looking for beta readers and more reviews. Our authors are called The Storytellers. As a Storyteller, you will be a part of a community of 500+ Authors and Readers whom you can contact to request reviews from. Our Book Thieves are trusted reviewers who will be able to communicate with you and work with you on accepting books in exchange for honest reviews and feedback.

How exactly does this work? Well, it does require a little more work on your part, but it is well worth it. You will have access to the list of our trusted Book Thieves and will be able to email them and request reviews if you find that their genre preferences match your works. As Book Thieves, we are required to set up reasonable time frames to complete accepted review requests, so you will always know when to expect a review, or feedback. You will also have a place in our Book Robin Hoods forum that allows you to post snippets of your work for our Book Thieves to read and comment on. This will help you decide which Book Thieves to email.

The Storytellers are made up of many hard working authors from a variety of backgrounds and genres. The only genres we don’t work with at this are are Erotica, Nonfiction, and Graphic Horror. If you are published and looking for more reviews, you belong with our Storytellers. If you are looking for beta readers, some of our Book Thieves can help out as well.

If this sounds like a community you would like to be a part of, you can sign up here.

A big thank you goes out to author M.C. Frank for creating this safe place for us readers, and authors, to connect. This community is amazing and I know it will continue to grow. I have connected with so many great authors already and am looking forward to connecting with more.

Also, make sure to check out M.C.’s books, because she is one of my favorite authors, and you will be able to connect with her too:
