Bringing you another Throwback Thursday to get you ready for a re-read blog tour I am getting ready to take part in! Throwback Thursday was created by It’s Book Talk to be able to highlight old favorites, or even older books that have been on your TBR forever. These are books that have been published months, or even years, ago that you want to bring back in to the spotlight.

Synopsis: London, April 1812. On the eve of eighteen-year-old Lady Helen Wrexhall’s presentation to the queen, one of her family’s housemaids disappears-and Helen is drawn into the shadows of Regency London. There, she meets Lord Carlston, one of the few who can stop the perpetrators: a cabal of demons infiltrating every level of society. Dare she ask for his help, when his reputation is almost as black as his lingering eyes? And will her intelligence and headstrong curiosity wind up leading them into a death trap?
Prepare to be immersed in the world of high society in London of 1812. It is here you will find chivalry, scandal, judgement, propriety, and a hidden force of the supernatural among lords and ladies. With an immense amount of time period imagery, a steady, and necessary story build up, Alison Goodman has delivered us a beautiful story. The characters we meet are complex, interesting, and not without a bit of humor. The world of the supernatural is intriguing and believable and set well in to the story line.
The Dark Days Club is one of my favorite books with one of my favorite characters, Lady Helen. If you loved Stalking Jack the Ripper, you need to pick up this series! Book 3 is set to come out this November, and not only was I lucky enough to get an ARC, but I also get to participate in a re-read blog tour for the first two books!
