Synopsis: Elisabeth and Ki return in the second novel in The Gate Trilogy.
The interplanetary gates originated from somewhere and nowhere.
Ki is lost on an unknown planet with no memories or body. Worse, an entity came through with him, something dark. It can’t hurt him, but no one else is safe. He doesn’t know how they arrived, but he knows one thing for certain—they don’t belong.
Elisabeth isn’t willing to leave a man behind, even if that man is lost among infinite possibilities. When Morhaven holds the answers to rescuing Ki, she takes Nanette with her to serve her term in the Netherworld. In turn Nanette must take a chance and trust a man she barely knows.
How far is Elisabeth prepared to go to save Ki?
What an exciting middle book this was! It took me a little bit to get in to it, because it’s been a while since I’ve read book 1, but once I got back in to this dark, vivid world K.T Munson created, I was hooked again. I read this one in one sitting, and now I need book 3!
There were so many different layers and elements that made up The Nowhere Gate. We had characters from book 1 and new characters. There were new creatures, as well as old, and there were intriguing bits of the paranormal, mythology, and faerie tales. K.T. Munson did an amazing job with expanding the world I was introduced to in The Sixth Gate.
The story started off slow and built with speed and intensity. It had a powerful driving force that kept me turning page after page. By the time I made it to that cliff hanger ending I was breathless! With a build up, and ending like this, I am dying for the final book! I have got to find out what happens! I have become so invested in the story and all the characters!
I’d definitely recommend this trilogy so far. It would help to read the books back to back, but they are so worth the read! K.T. Munson has taken bits and pieces of so many things and created her own extraordinary, vivid world and story. And, the characters have definitely changed and grown from book 1 to book 2. I cannot wait to read book 3!
