This is supposed to be a book that comes off as predictable but completely knocks your socks off, so it’s no surprise that it won this month! I am looking forward to reading it!

We are really looking forward to seeing the choices for this theme! Katie is an amazing mother, and my mother is my best friend, so this theme really won us over!

Reminders:

Don’t forget to join us for our new Twitter chat schedule. Instead of chatting for an hour one day of the month, we decided to spread it out over 5 days to allow more of you to be able to participate! Starting the 3rd Monday of the month (May 20th), each week day will have a new question under the hashtag #CGBChat, and you will have the whole week to join in on the fun!

For those who are new to Calendar Girls, it is a monthly blog event that was inspired by the Neil Sedaka song, Calendar Girl. Just like the song, each month has a specific theme, voted on by the participants, where we get to talk about a particular book we love or think fits the theme the best. The blog event was created to incite fun bookish discussions and to spread the blogger love by introducing us to new bloggers and/or books that we have not come across before.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, make sure to head to my Calendar Girls info page! Drop a comment and let me know if you are interested in joining us.
