Where Have I Been?!
Hello lovelies!! It’s been way too long! I am so sorry for disappearing! Books and blogging have taken a backseat to my weight loss journey and I just haven’t had the motivation or urge to dedicate time to either, unfortunately. Since the beginning of December life has been a little hectic too. I hope all of you are doing well, and I hope most of you stick by me while I try to get my blogging and reading mojo back!
As most of you know, I have been on my weight loss journey since June of 2018. I am now down 110 pounds. I started at 272 pounds and my last weigh in was 162. I am so damn proud of myself and I am feeling so much better and healthier! I have another 12 pounds to go to get to my goal weight, and I have a little more muscle that I would like to build.
Since I’ve had such great success on my journey, and have learned so much along the way, I decided to become a Beachbody coach! I will leave a link here to my official page, and my Facebook group if anyone is interested in learning more about what I do and what I can offer you in terms of health, fitness, and my just being there to cheer you on!
I mentioned December being hectic. In the beginning of December we lost my father in law. He and my mother in law had retired several months ago and purchased a boat to live on, as it was his dream to sail the open seas. He was out doing what he loved the day he passed, and though it broke our hearts to lose him, it comforted us knowing he was living his dream. The last week of December my husband and I flew to my sister in law’s house and stayed for 9 days to visit our family and attend dad’s memorial service. It was a sad time, but also one of the happiest times for us since we were reunited with family we hadn’t seen in years, and were able to meet more family members, and witness just how loved and respected dad was as a family man and boy scout camp ranger. Dad has always put a big emphasis on family and being together, and he truly brought us all together recently. He is missed every day and he was and is such a blessing in our lives.
Calendar Girls Updates:
As many of you may know, Katie and I have decided to take a step back from Calendar Girls for a while. We aren’t sure if it will be permanent or just a break from hosting. Neither one of us could devote the time and love to it that it deserved, so Flavia @ Flavia the Bibliophile (one of the original creators) and Dani @ Mousai Books will be hosting it for a while, and I know it is in good hands! If you participated in the past, or would like to start participating, head over to their posts, and also check out my CGB info page here, to find out how to join! The January posts are already up, but you can still join in on the fun!
